As the doctor said that he could never hold baseball bat perfectly, Tama loses his goal. He had been in love with baseball since he went to his favorite player’s game. What’s life without dream now? He wants to make a home run. But, no matter how much he practices, that won’t do. One day, he saw a man hitting ball on a wall. Hmm…isn’t that what they call squash? The beat and the man’s moves are synchronized so the ball hit beautifully. That man, a famous young player, Doichi, teaches Tama to use racket. Tama finds out that he can make home run with this racket too. He can do a full swing with baseball move. Once again, Tama feels like he has purpose in life.
Unlike many sports manga I knew, this is a very short manga. It’s only 2 volumes telling the beginning life of Tama’s tennis. We never knew that he would succeed in this anyway. lol. But, it’s ok for me. Despite of Tama’s future in Tennis, the manga point that hardship is all you need to conquer the world. Life might be difficult and your path might be blocked, but there’s always a way. You can always jump the wall. Don’t give up.

Youth should be filled with dream and hard work. Even if you work so hard, if you’re pursuing your dream, then everything is acceptable. Everything is enjoyable.
That’s what this teacher thought. Yup, Kawato is the name of that teacher. Being transferred to a school with patheric baseball club, he’s exciting to get all members start their sport activity. Their club is pathetic because there’re only a bunch of delinquent students. They were so in love with baseball until they lost in a game. They were cheated. It wasn’t a good game anyway, but it ended with fighting. They stops playing ever since.
But, Kawato sensei is a stubborn one. He believes that those juveniles are hoping to get someone hears them. They actually still wanna play. But, distrust from their surrounding keeping them away from their dream.
Based on famous sport manga, Rookies, shows us that everyone has the right to dream. We may not know how to reach it. At that moment, there’s always help, even when we reject it.
Dream is something that make people hang on and work for the best. If it’s taken away from us, we’re nothing but skeletons.

What if the end is the beginning?
Hiro burns all his dream for baseball because he had injury in his shoulder. He promise himself to get rid of that sport. For that reason, Hiro chooses Senkawa High which has no baseball club. On the contrary, his best friend, Hideo gets into a famous baseball team in his new school. They were good partner, but now they choose their own path.
To kill time, Hiro applies to soccer club. But, he meets Haruka, manager of Baseball lover club. That club is terrible. They can not really play, because they just want to have fun. One day, Kine, a prodigy rookie in soccer club makes a bet on baseball lover club. He challenges that club to make fun of them. He has an ulterior motive, though. He thought, if he played cool, then Haruka would be attracted to him.
The game goes unbalanced. The soccer club gets the higher score. It’s not a fine play, but Hiro feels the urge he kept down inside his heart. He can’t get away of baseball….
The most interesting part of this manga is that all the main characters’ name begin with the letter H: such as Hiro, Hideo, Hikari and Haruka. Well, this is the story about Hiro and Hideo, though. I wonder why does Adachi sensei loves baseball so much. I just hope this one is way different that Touch (It’s also about baseball and the competition of 2 young man).

Sport manga always makes me exiting. Wild Base Ballers (WBB) is another baseball kind of manga. From the maker of GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka), Toru Fujisawa sensei, this manga once again capture a live of delinquent juvenile.
Since the first day at school, Issei, has been a notorious student. Rumors spread that he has great track record in fighting. Bad news for his three classmates, they’ve been recognized as his friends. That makes them haunted by all big guys at school. They come out with solution: make friends with the boss.

Issei comes this far to play baseball. His late best friend taught him the passion. This is their chance to win the school, since the boss was a member of that high school’s baseball team. The team has awful history. When they finally got the ticket to Koshien, they lost with embarrassing score. It made the captain depressed and suicide. He was the boss’ friend. So, you can imagine how hard for the boss to play base ball again. Even hearing that Issei would build a new baseball team is making him angry.
But, with their tricks, the team is revived. The gang members become the athletes. How awful it would be?
Read it yourself. it only 6 volumes.
