Shin Prince of Tennis

shin-tenipuri

Ryoma and Seigaku regulars are back! After winning national competition, the top players are invited for U-17 candidate selection camp for 3 days. They have to compete with other genius tennis player from High School to get 250 seats in The High School Representatives Selection Camp. It’s the place for elites only. Ryoma who already got back to America is called back.

In the new series, Ryoma has to beat the High School players. I don’t think there would be many differences from the old Tenipuri where Ryoma always won. Kinda bored, actually, but it’s ok. I already miss the series so much and now I can see Momo chan again.

Love Chop

Mitsuba Academy is a private school with flexibility in education system and method. They accept students from any kinds of background no matter how special they are. So, it won’t be too surprising if you find a girl whose arm can fly by itself. Yeah, here Mame Hiragi is never being an object for laboratory. Instead, she blends quickly like normal human. But, is she actually?i11871

Cute cover. That’s what I thought when I saw this book. But, when I read the first chapter, I can’t help being dizzy. The story goes too scrambled so it’s hard to understand. I think Morio sensei wants to show us how shocking it is when you know Mami for the first time. Seriously, the dialogues are mess and the panels are confusing. But, when I got to the next chapter, the plot has flown to more neat and systematic flow. And I like the idea.

Everybody has burden they have to carry. Sometimes, when it gets too heavy, it’s good to call for help. You have to know your limit. Otherwise you’ll suck into darkness by yourself. And believe me, if you search in the right place, help is always available.

Saikyoou! Toritsu Aoizaka Koukou Yakyuubu

It started with a girl’s dream. It infected a bunch of boys she trained. Now, after years, the boys reunite in Aoizaka High School to make the dream come true. Sugiwara Suzuo, the girl is now coaching the lame aoizaka baseball club. It seems like dreaming of getting into Koshien is an utophy. But, as Kitarou Kitaoji, Shinnosuke Shibata, Kotetsu Kobayashi, Masaharu Matsukata and Ukyo Umemiya join the club the sun might shines away. They are aces from their junior High and now they team up once again.

What should I say, this is typical baseball manga. We had enough of them, right?
Regarding the plot, it seems like Suzou is the heroine here and those 5 little boys are the secret admirer. It’s like having sister complex, right? They like Suzuo because she’s nice and beautiful, even though they know (I suppose they understand) they could not be with her. they want to protect her and grab her the goal. Is this some kind of a boy’s childish dream, ha? This is obviously not love.
The art is nothing extraordinary. It’s ok for a male mangaka. and I must noted thatTanaka sensei is suck at drawing of propotional woman.

Mahoutsukanai ni Taisetsuna Koto Taiyou to Kaze no sakamichi

i32826Born as a witch is a burden for Nami. She’s definitely not talented in the field. No matter how small it is, the magic always fails. That’s why she’s in dilemma. Government sets that 19 years old witches may play the trick only if they have license. It means that you can choose to make it a living. Is it going to be the same path for Nami, too? Her father pushes her so much never accepting that she woun’t be a good witch.

She loves photography. She likes taking picture. She never told anyone about it except for Tominaga, the class mate. Her first encounter with him was a terrible experience. Nami was taking a picture when Tominaga passed with his motorcycle which almost hit her. The vehicle broke and when Nami tried to fix it with the magic, it got worse. But, behind his cynical attitude, Tominaga is a tender person. Nami’s problem add up. She thinks she’s in love with him.

How does this 18 years old witch-never-want-to-be deal with her youth? Just the read the manga.

What amaze me is the very long title. I don’t speak Japanese, so it’s very hard to memorize title. “Mahoutsukanai ni Taisetsuna Koto Taiyou to Kaze no sakamichi”…wow

When I thought about witch, I imagine action fantasy things, but this is quite down to earth. It shows the humanity side of a witch. Like any of us, a witch is a human, too. She could have problem as much as youngster. If you put away the witch attribute, this manga is only about high school life. Yamada sensei makes it so….USUAL.
